Eagle Mountain-Woodfibre Gas Pipeline Project update and information sessions

We’re hosting virtual information sessions in November and December as part of our community engagement on the Eagle Mountain-Woodfibre Gas Pipeline project.

We’re looking forward to engaging with the Squamish and Coquitlam communities. These information sessions are an opportunity to be updated on the project and receive specific information about proposed work in each community.

    Squamish

The Squamish information sessions will highlight our proposed new location for the Squamish compressor station and rerouting of an eight-kilometre section of the pipeline extension in Stawamus Valley to minimize impacts and include input from the Squamish Nation.

The information session will also address how we will support the community during construction, including the hiring of local and Indigenous contractors as well as details of our Waste Discharge Permit application to the Oil & Gas Commission.

    Coquitlam

The Coquitlam information sessions will highlight our proposed work to add two new electric powered compressor units within the existing footprint of our Eagle Mountain compressor station in Coquitlam, while minimizing the environmental and visual impacts of the work. We’ll also cover plans to twin a three-kilometre section of our existing pipeline near Westwood Plateau to increase capacity and reliability to Woodfibre LNG and other customers on the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island.

As part of our commitment to engage with the community, we look forward to hearing from participants during these virtual engagement opportunities. We want to hear and respond to any questions the community may have.
