Upcoming construction along Industrial Way
Starting the week of January 26, crews will be working along Industrial Way to carry out additional pre-construction activities to further confirm subsurface ground conditions.This work is anticipated to take approximately one week and will occur between:7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday to FridaySaturday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m., if requiredDuring these activities, single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect along portions of Industrial Way.Traffic control personnel will be in place to help road users safely navigate around our work zones. Access to businesses will be maintained.We thank the public for their patience as we complete these activities safely, and as quickly as possible.

Construction activities near Valleycliffe
In order to create the space and access needed for pipeline construction, crews are continuing to work along our new right of way northeast of Valleycliffe.Starting as early as January 19, crews will be conducting intermittent controlled blasting, drilling and hammering activities in the area. These are standard construction methods used to safely break apart rock to prepare for gas pipeline construction. FortisBC has been conducting these activities across the project since 2024. Additionally, crews will be relocating powerlines and poles on a nearby private property.The work will occur between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Our right of way and trails in the area will remain closed at all times, including Sundays, to maintain public safety. We ask the public to please avoid entering restricted areas during this period.We appreciate your continued patience as we safely complete this work. Partial trail access restored in Coquitlam
We are progressing construction on the Eagle Mountain – Woodfibre Gas Pipeline Project in Coquitlam’s Eagle Mountain area.We are pleased to share we’ve completed some of our work in the area, allowing us to reopen trail access to Lungbuster, Spencer’s Slabs, and the northern portion of Sidewinder. Please see the updated trail closure map below for more details.Construction is expected to continue in the area through Fall 2026 and we will reopen additional trails as it becomes safe to do so.We appreciate the community’s patience as we safely work to complete these activities. For your safety, please avoid entering restricted areas.
