We continue to make progress on the Eagle Mountain – Woodfibre Gas Pipeline Project in Squamish.Finch Drive between Highway 99 and Loggers LaneSheet piling installation within the closed section of Finch Drive between Loggers Lane and Highway 99 is now complete. Crews are now transitioning to remaining activities, which include excavation, pipeline installation, backfill and sheet pile removal.Eastern end of Finch DriveSheet piling installation at the eastern end of Finch Drive is complete. Crews are now transitioning to remaining activities, which include using water pressure (hydrovac) to safely expose underground utilities, excavation, pipeline installation, backfill and sheet pile removal.Work in both areas along Finch Drive will continue until late-October and generally occur between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., seven days a week. Please note that lower-noise activities associated with pipeline activities, including equipment such as generators and pumps may be required to operate and be maintained overnight.Valleycliffe areaPipeline installation along our right of way near the Valleycliffe neighbourhood is now substantially complete. Crews will continue to work in the area intermittently through the spring to complete remaining construction activities and site cleanup.We are pleased to share that Endo, the northern Connector, and several other trails in the area have reopened. Some trail closures remain in place in the Valleycliffe area. For your safety, we ask that you avoid entering restricted areas. Please see the updated trail closure map below for more details. Please note that temporary, short-term closures of trails along our right of way will be required later this year to maintain public safety.Thank you for your patience, as we complete this work safely, and as quickly as possible.

Beginning August 31, crews will be working at the intersection of Highway 99 and Industrial Way to remove survey equipment. The work is only anticipated to require one or two evenings, but intermittent lane closures may be in place until September 3.Work will be taking place overnight between 6:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.Intermittent lane closures will be in place, and traffic control personnel will be onsite to help road users navigate around construction.Thank you for your patience as we complete this work safely, and as quickly as possible. Construction activities continue to advance along Finch Drive. As communicated on August 21, this includes work in the section that is currently closed between Highway 99 and Loggers Lane, and near the eastern end of Finch Drive.Finch Drive between Highway 99 and Loggers LaneSheet piling is ongoing and expected to be complete next week.Once sheet piling is complete, crews will transition to pipeline installation.The road closure is anticipated to remain in place until October.Eastern end of Finch DriveSheet piling at the eastern end of Finch Drive is expected to begin as early as tomorrow, August 29, and continue for approximately five days.Following completion of sheet piling, crews will transition to pipeline installation in this area. Pipeline installation and remaining work in these areas are expected to continue through October.Sheet piling along Finch Drive will generally occur between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturdays; and 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sundays.
