A fun family event to show our appreciation for Squamish community a was big success. Free mini-golf and a barbecue lunch were offered to families in Squamish to show our continued support for the community. More than 250 people came out for the event, held at WhistlePunk Hollow Adventure Mini Golf.

We wanted to give families the opportunity to come out and have some fun, and show our support for Squamish – where we have a solid customer base.

The event proved to be very popular with families, who got to hang out with other families they know in the community.

The event was publicized through Facebook and other social media groups, and turned out to be the busiest day the venue had had all year!  “People seemed to hang out together for hours, enjoying the mini-golf and barbecue lunch, as well as the adjoining fire pit and playground.”

In other news from Squamish, FortisBC continues to seek feedback from local stakeholders and residents about our Eagle Mountain – Woodfibre Gas Pipeline project.  While our current phase of planning work continues, we have reduced the hours of operation at our community office on Cleveland Avenue. We value the feedback we receive from local stakeholders and residents, and are also available by scheduling an appointment in advance. Contact us at [email protected].
