Update on construction activities along Finch Drive in Squamish
Trenchless construction between the two construction pits on Finch Drive is ongoing and expected to be complete by July 9.Once this phase wraps up, we’ll begin installing the pipeline within the tunnel, starting as early as July 10. To help reduce impacts during this phase:Overnight work will be limited to lower-noise activities within the closed section of Finch Drive (between Loggers Lane and Highway 99)Noisier equipment will only be used between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.This stage is expected to take up to two weeksWe’ve adjusted our approach for this next phase to help reduce impacts and will continue to monitor conditions as the work progresses.We understand this work has been disruptive and we appreciate the community’s continued patience as we safely work to complete these activities.

Upcoming traffic impacts in Squamish
Beginning as early as July 6, crews will be installing a section of pipeline beside Powerhouse Springs Road. This work is related to our existing pipeline in Squamish that serves Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.This work is expected to take approximately two weeks.Work will take place between 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and on Sundays as required.Intermittent lane closures and detours will be in place. Tilbury Phase 2 LNG Expansion project

Public Comment Period
We invite the public to provide input on the Tilbury Phase 2 LNG Expansion project through the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office (BC EAO) from June 25 until July 27, 2026. This 30-day public comment period provides an opportunity to share feedback on the project.The Tilbury Phase 2 LNG Expansion project is in the fifth phase of the environmental assessment process, called effects assessment and recommendation. The BC EAO has completed its application review and has prepared a draft Assessment Report that outlines the potential effects of the project, as well as proposed mitigation measures and conditions.The feedback received from the public comment period will help inform the BC EAO’s final Assessment Report and recommendation.An online information session will be held on Zoom on July 8, 2026.
